Oppose efforts to legislate science, burning forests for fuel is not carbon neutral!

Right now Congress is attempting to legislate science by counting burning forests and forest materials as carbon neutral. This attempt to legislate science in the FY19 spending bill must be stopped. Burning trees for electricity creates more carbon pollution than coal -- and could destroy our country’s forests in the process. Our forests and their ability to store carbon are one of our country’s best defenses against climate change. Burning trees to produce electricity is disastrous, harming our health, environment and our climate. Let's protect our forests and our climate.

Tell your senators and representatives to vote no against counting forest biomass as carbon neutral.
