Tell Congress to Protect our Public Lands

Don't let Trump sell out our public lands!

After months of secrecy, details of Interior Secretary Zinke's report on national monuments have leaked in the press. Zinke's report recommends that Trump shrink the borders of four national monuments and open six other national monuments to mining, drilling, logging, and commercial fishing.

The seven land monuments and three sea monuments on the chopping block include Utah's Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante, New Mexico's Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks and Rio Grande del Norte, Nevada's Gold Butte and Basin and Range, Maine's Katahdin Woods and Waters, Oregon's Cascade Siskiyou, the Pacific Ocean's Rose Atoll and Pacific Remote Islands, and the Atlantic Ocean's Northeast Canyons and Seamounts.

No president has ever shown such disregard for the public's desire to protect our public lands or such blatant pandering to the industries that want to drill, mine, and log them. But Congress can fight back. Trump needs Congressional approval to shrink and dismantle our public lands, and we need to make sure he does not get it.

Tell your members of Congress to commit to protecting our public lands and waters for generations to come.
