What does a cool $1 million buy you in the Trump administration these days? A green light to sell a brain damage-causing insecticide and endangered species-killing pesticides, apparently.
Andrew Liveris heads Trump’s “American Business Council.” He’s also the president and CEO of Dow Chemical Company, which gave $1 million for Trump’s inauguration.
Earlier this year, the EPA said that they would not ban the Dow-manufactured insecticide chlorpyrifos, which has been linked to brain damage and is especially dangerous to children and farmworkers.
Now, Dow wants the Trump administration to bury government studies on the risks of three highly toxic pesticides to endangered species.
