Right now, New York-based company ContourGlobal is on the brink of signing a contract with the Government of Kosovo to help them build a new coal-fired power plant.
Studies have shown that there is significant potential for energy efficiency improvements and cost-competitive clean energy development in Kosovo. In spite of this, ContourGlobal and the Government of Kosovo are moving forward with plans for a new coal plant.
ContourGlobal needs to know there is strong opposition to building new coal plants around the world, especially when cost-competitive clean energy options exist.
